ESI President Gerald Knaus invited to attend presentation by the Study Group on Europe’s Security Capabilities to Javier Solana

ESI President Gerald Knaus was invited to attend the presentation of the Report of the Study Group on Europe's Security Capabilities to EU High Representative for the Common Foreign & Security Policy Javier Solana in Barcelona. The Study Group was convened by Professor Mary Kaldor in 2003 and coordinated by the "Centre for the Study of Global Governance" (London School of Economics), to give independent advice on the capabilities the European Union would require in order to pursue an effective common security policy.

The report, A Human Security Doctrine for Europe, was introduced by former Spanish Minister of Defence Narcis Serra, followed by presentations from Professor Mary Kaldor, Gen.Ret'd Klaus Reinhardt, Dr. Renata Dwan and Dr. Marlies Glasius.
