ESI organised, together with the IWM and Erste Stiftung, its third Hittisau Seminar, gathering a small group of concerned Europeans in Hittisau in the Austrian mountains to discuss how impactful writing might change politics in Europe.
Kristof Bender, Adnan Cerimagic and John Dalhuisen were invited to the European Forum Alpbach in Austria where they presented ESI's analysis on a revived EU enlargement process and on human rights advocacy.
Adnan Cerimagic spoke at an online panel discussion on how to make EU enlargement work organised by the Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group (BiEPAG), the European Fund for the Balkans, and the Southeast Europe Association (SOG).
Gerald Knaus was invited to participate in a debate on “Understanding Poland” / “War Refugees and Migrants? The German-Polish Migration Policy”, organised by the German television channel Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB).
ESI senior analyst Adnan Cerimagic spoke on ESI‘s research and analysis at the conference “The lighthouse of a better Balkans” organised by the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP). The conference was attended by diplomats posted in Serbia and local politicians, as well as civil society members from the region.
