ESI's Gerald Knaus was invited at a conference in Istanbul organised by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue. In his presentation he outlined ESIs research on on "Conflict Resolution in the Balkans and Caucasus".
Speakers included Wolfgang Schüssel, Former Federal Chancellor of Austria, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, Former German Minister of Defence and Minister of Economy, August Hanning, Former State Secretary, German Federal Ministry of the Interior, Jonathan Powell, Former UK Chief of Staff, 10 Downing Street, Hikmet Çetin, Former Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kemal Kirişci, TÜSİAD senior fellow and director of the Center on the United States and Europe's Turkey Project at The Brookings Institution, among others.
